What is a cross-game?
Cross Game is a football anime that could take you back in time with its different charm. Very low nice sluggish pace and does not feature the high pitched yelling or perhaps unrealistic bad baseball dictatorships that you might expect from the other shonen mangote.
The story centers around Ko Kitamura and the 4 Tsukishima siblings who live down the street by her. The series came from 2006 to 2010 in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday and the 18 tankobon volumes were designed into a 50-episode anime television series that shown between 2009 and 2010.
While the scenario is about hockey it is more of a coming of age story than anything more. The roles are dealing with the outlook of others Innovation Lab and themselves while searching for their own joy. This makes it an infinitely more mature and realistic series that will charm to a wider audience than just those who like baseball.
Aoba Tsukishima is one of the most interesting characters from this anime. When she loves baseball more than any of the männer she is not allowed to play on a official group. This has been a huge problem on her behalf and it will probably remain a problem as long as male or female stereotypes can be found.
While the main focus of the series is a relationships among Ko and her four sisters the sports idea gives the history extra dimension that may be very interesting to watch. The animation is beautiful plus the characters undoubtedly are a pleasure to look at. The only downsides to this display are it doesn’t have as much episodes for instance a other shonen and the reality it is a tad slower than most.
